Angel Baby Afghan, Oatmeal Scarf and Owl Tote Bag

I am very proud of this first item. It's an angel afghan. I got the pattern in one of the crochet magazines. It was a nice pattern to work up and I really like the finished product!

Next is a scarf - of course! The pattern is called "Fearless" and I found it on line.

And last for today is an Owl Tote bag. I also found this pattern in one of the crochet magazines. It even has two inside pockets as well! Great eye catching tote for you or a child!

Oh and I just got the sweetest gift from a fellow crochet member. A tote bag from the Cafe Press website - it's a canvas tote bag - and the graphic on it says "I'm working on my PhD" and then below "Projects Half Done!" I love it! And it is so true I'm always working on half done things!

Crocheted Folklore

I saw this as a Knitting folklore but in my case I'm saying Crocheted Folklore!

Crocheting folklore says that if you stitch a strand of your hair into your work, you will be forever bound to the person who receives that work!

How true - how true - so there are a lot of people who are bound to me forever!!!

Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt." Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about - he said "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."

And a couple of short ones for quick smiles!

Okay, you asked for it! I am 52 years old, married. I live in East Tennessee and have been here for almost 15 years. grew up in New England and miss some things, but this is the best place for me. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats. We live with my husband Harry's sister, Kathy on a mini farm. We have no children. I no longer work outside the home, received my disability approval a while back. Some days are GREAT and some days are yuck! My best buddy in the whole wide world, Martha, lives in New England and we miss each other terribly! I adore the color pink and I am The Princess! I love to read, crochet, cross stitch and hang out with Daddy. I lost my mother, suddenly in November 2005. I miss her so. Jesus is in my heart and I know my Mom and I will be together again in heaven.
